Rose and Rosebud. They are two teenagers post Hurricane Katrina,
in and around New Orleans. They are complete opposites, living very different
lives but share a birthday and a shocking connection. Taking turns
narrating this story, the girls bring together two worlds that are much closer
than they ever imagined. Poverty, racism, tragedy and loss. The story is an interesting concept but I found this
novel difficult to enjoy and tiring to follow. Was a tough choice for bookclub.
Majority was thumbs down.
